SIMIT provides a unique culinary experience fusing together contemporary and traditional flavors of both Turkish and Macedonian cuisine. Co-owned by Yavuz “Oz” Ozturk from Türkiye, and Macedonian native Ivo Milanoski, SIMIT Fresh Mediterranean offers guests an adventure into generations of the traditional cultural heritages of Türkiye and Macedonia. Whether you're a fan of savory kebabs, aromatic stews, or sweet pastries, you're sure to find something to satisfy your cravings at this delightful eatery. SIMIT, a soft circular sesame encrusted type of bread, originating in Türkiye, and found across the cuisines of the former Ottoman Empire, as well as other areas in the Middle East. In the United States, this chewy delight is also known as a Turkish bagel. Baked from scratch, in the SIMIT kitchen, the “SIMIT Sandwich” dish is prepared and served with ajvar, suçuk, cheese, argula, tomalo, pickled jalapeño, and balsamic. Simit is an integral part of the Turkish diet and culture, and exactly why it was chosen as the restaurant’s name. From the moment you step inside the Turkish and Macedonian restaurant, you'll be transported to a world of bold spices, rich aromas, and vibrant colors.
In addition to its delicious food, SIMIT also offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like you are part of the family. The decor is a blend of modern design, while showcasing traditional Turkish and Macedonian elements. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. With origins in both Türkiye and Macedonia, the team at SIMIT is always ready to offer authentic recommendations or answer any food and wine questions you may have that align with your dining preferences.
What sets SIMIT apart, is our commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients and the expression of traditional cooking methods. Our chefs take great care in creating each dish, ensuring that every bite is full of flavor and authenticity, while being served with unique and beautiful presentations, reflecting the Eastern Mediterranean culture they bring to your dining experience. The menus feature a wide range of dishes that showcase the best of both Turkish and Macedonian cuisine. SIMIT is open daily, with two menus available at different times of the day. From 11 AM to 4 PM a lunch menu is offered, and from 4 PM to 9:30 PM the dinner menu is available.
A must-try dish is the “Macedonian Pinjur & Feta”. Macedonia has a rich climate for vegetables and herbs, and this delightful dish displays that robust Macedonian fragrance. Made using roasted red peppers, beefsteak tomatoes, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, and a side of feta cheese, this starter makes for a light yet satisfying accompaniment that's perfect for lunch or dinner. Another standout dish at SIMIT is the “Mixed Grill” platter, which features a generous portion of beef doner, tender chicken Adana kebab, Macedonian kepab all grilled to perfection. The meat is seasoned with a blend of fragrant spices and served with blistered cherry tomatoes and shishito peppers, alongside a thin village herb bread. The dish accompaniments offered are a choice of fries, Turkish baldo rice, bulgur or shepherd salad. Finally, before introducing the exquisite dessert menu, a dish created for royalty, “The Sultan’s Delight”. Derived from the Ottoman Empire and known as “Hünkar Beğendi’ throughout the centuries, this savory plate speaks for itself. It is prepared with a decadent six-hour braised lamb, served over creamy eggplant puree, and well balanced with a refreshing herb salad.
Offering a fine variety of dessert selections, you may choose between velvety Turkish goat milk ice cream to sweeten the pallet, or baklava, another classic Turkish pastry made with layers of crispy filo dough, sweet honey syrup, filled and dusted with pistachios. The baklava at this restaurant is particularly delicious, with a perfectly crisp texture and a rich, buttery flavor that melts in your mouth. Likewise, the “Kunefe With Turkish Ice Cream” is also elegantly prepared. We look forward to serving you soon!

"Simit is a hidden gem! They have a sweet outdoor seating area with some beautiful flowers but because it was earlier in the day we sat inside to hide from the sun for a little. To start we had the falafel; luckily it came served with some hummus and pita so I wasn’t so upset that we didn’t order the dip trio! For entrees we had the veggie salad with shrimp and the sultan! Both were incredibly delicious we cleaned our plates! Unfortunately we didn’t leave room for dessert but i promise to save room for next time! Definitely a must try if you love Mediterranean food!"
